I. Installation of Calc/Solve under HP-UX.
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For installation of Calc/Solve under HP-UX you need

1) Fortran90 HP compiler version 2.0 or higher. Calc/Solve has been tested 
   with Fortran90 HP version 2.4 and 2.5 . It is known that it cannot be 
   compiled with Fortran90 HP version 1.0, since that compiler has too many 
   bugs and does not not conform Fortran specifications. If you are unfortunate
   to have this ancient compiler you have to upgrade it first. It is unclear 
   whether Calc/Solve can be compiled with Fortran90 HP 2.0,2.1,2.2 or 2.3 .

   Compiler should be invoked as f95 and as f90. If it does not, you need 
   to set an alias or a wrapper shell program for calling the compiler. 
   For example,

   #!/bin/csh -f
   /bin/f90 $argv


2) C compiler. HP-UX cc or gcc work fine. Compiler should be invoked as cc
   and as c89. If it does not, you need to make an alias, syslink or a 
   wrapper script.

3) It was reported that at some systems compilation aborted with 
   "Segmentaion fault" message. The problem was traced and the HP-UX "make"
   was the reason. If you experience this problem you have to install
   gmake vrsion 3.70 or higher and add the line 

      setenv SOLVE_MAKE gmake
      
   in your $MK5_ROOT/local/bin.lcl  file.

4) Install zip and unzip. 
   http://www.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/

5) Install wget 
   http://www.gnu.org/software/wget/wget.html

6) After that you can install Mark5 VLBI Analysis Software Calc/Solve.
   Refer to installation instruction in $MK5_ROOT/help/INSTALL
